HIV, AIDS AND MIGRATION: A Workshop Report

The Governance and AIDS Project convened the workshop with a view of sensitising governance actors to the good governance principles. The Migration, Mobility, HIV and AIDS workshop aimed to address the unique role of all the governance actors by:
• Sharing what the four participating national governments are currently doing – laws, policies and programmes.
• The role and work of the private sector, non-governmental and international development organisations – those working in the HIV and AIDS sector and those working with the migrant communities and the communities hosting migrants.
• The role of the SADC structures, policies and programmes.

Idasa’s Governance and AIDS Project co-hosted the workshop with: • Moçambican Network of AIDS Service Organisations (MONASO)
• Southern African Migration Project (SAMP)
• Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC Maputo Office)
