USA Office

"Friends of Idasa" is Idasa's US office and builds support in the United States for Idasa and its programmes.  As with Idasa's other offices, our US office aims to influence the discussion surrounding democracy and governance in Africa in order to raise awareness of Idasa’s work and help to mobilize resources for Idasa’s programmes.

"Friends of Idasa" is a nonprofit organization registered in the United States.  It has 501(c)(3) status and can receive tax deductible donations from contributors.  Although it is an independent legal entity from Idasa itself, FOI exists for the sole purpose of supporting Idasa’s work.  It is the U.S. branch of Idasa, and it operates under the guidance and direction of Idasa South Africa.
