As tributes continue to pour in following the death of Van Zyl Slabbert on 14^th May, Idasa has compiled a special edition of our Democracy in Action newsletter, to honour and acknowledge the indelible imprint that Van Zyl left on South African politics. A warm, strong, charismatic, energizing visionary, van Zyl will be sorely missed by all of us.

The Board of Idasa has agreed to establish an annual Van Zyl Slabbert Memorial Lecture to commemorate his life and work in building democracy. Contact Yvette for more information.
